Get in the Grove with Beadboard Paneling

Posted by on

Beadboard KitchenBeadboard paneling is a milled panel with routed parallel grooves. Historically, beadboard was assembled with tongue and groove planks, but for quicker installation and cost effectiveness, it is now also available in large sheets. It has a charming appearance reminiscent of farmhouses and cottages. It is used on walls for wainscoting and also for cabinets, ceilings and furniture.  Design the space has the products you need to complete the project you have in mind.  If you love the look of beadboard paneling but need ideas for how to use it in your home, here are some suggestions that we hope will get your creative juices flowing.

Incorporate beadboard paneling on the wall as well as the ceiling.  Run the beadboard paneling three-quarters of the way up the wall.  Then add it to the ceiling for a beautiful look.  Allow the panels to run the same direction for a more fluid look.  Or run the paneling opposing directions for a totally different variation.

Place your beadboard paneling vertically, all the way up the wall. You can also choose a wider plank and run it horizontally up the wall.  Either choice looks beautiful in the bathroom, bedroom, or sunroom. You can paint the beadboard paneling white, black, stained, or any other paint color you can envision.  You might want to remember that running the paneling horizontally is a more contemporary look.

A kitchen island with beadboard paneling adds a charming touch.  You can paint or stain it to match the cabinets or paint it a contrasting color.  A whitewash cabinet with an island with black beadboard paneling is striking.

We hope that these ideas have helped get your thoughts going. Design the Space has several products options for beadboard paneling.  We feel confident that we have what you need to complete the project you are thinking about.  Contact us today! We look forward to working with you.
